As a Procurement Specialist, you'll be collaborating within a cross functional team including working with Project Management and Category Management, leading the supplier management processes to meet company objectives focusing on raw materials.
This opportunity is a full time, permanent role based at our Inchinnan - Scotland facility, supporting our BioProduction Division, an ISO 9001 certified organization.
At this location, we manufacture cell culture therapy solutions to help our major customers in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology fields accelerate their drug discovery and synthetic biology research.
What will you do?
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain and Operations teams to manage inventory and supply demands against the forecasts for raw materials
- Work closely with the Material Planning teams to ensure material deliveries and sourced products are aligned to meet customer expectations
- Actively support in New Product Development initiatives to help secure materials and vendor contracts
- Monitor market intelligence and key trends to refine buying plans to support business requirements
- Negotiate pricing and supply contracts to ensure fair market value while protecting our company's interests
- Analyse supplier performance data, propose development plans, and communicate supplier scorecards
- Manage inflation, sourcing savings, and purchasedpart variances (PPV) to ensure operational goals are achieved
- Provide escalation support to Material Planning team to ensure quality and delivery of material meets our manufacturing needs
- Manage and maintain supplier agreements
- Our business is rapidly growing so it is vital that we continuously improve and advance the materials management processes and systems to achieve the best possible quality, reliability, prices, continuity, and delivery
Who we are looking for:
- Strategic Procurement/sourcing experience gained within a regulated fasted paced environment
- Process driven and has experience of driving efficiencies and cost saving initiatives
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Sound knowledge of ERP systems (Oracle preferred)
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills
