**Role: Uniform and Detective Sergeant

  • Selection and Promotion**
    Location:Various locations across the Square Mile

Rank:
Qualified Constables or Detective Constables on promotion or Substantive Sergeants on Transfer or rejoiners on lateral transfer


Salary:
National Police Pay Scales


Vetting Level:
The vetting level for these roles varies.

Applications are invited from suitable qualified Constables or Detective Constables for promotion to the rank of Sergeant.
This opportunity is also open to substantive Sergeants to join the City of London Police on level transfer.

Eligible Officers must either:
Hold a valid NPPF step two legal exam or

Have passed OSPRE Part 1 and Part 2

Applications are invited only from Home Office Forces applicants or British Transport Police.

There are a number of exciting roles within the City of London Police, however all have one aim which is to minimize risk to the public, business community and the force, by ensuring the right resources are available to respond appropriately and effectively to any situation.

You will work with your senior management team colleagues to enhance the professional development & performance of the force and ensure it achieves its vision and delivers its policing priorities.


As a Sergeant you will carry an important role in ensuring effective daily supervision, guidance and support of officers and staff.

You will be responsible for enabling the development of competence within your team whilst ensuring that organizational standards are met, and objectives achieved.
