    Change Practitioner (IT Business Analyst)

    NOCN Group is seeking to recruit a Change Practitioner to work on a full-time permanent basis as part of the Digital Delivery and Business Improvement Team.

    • Team:- Digital Delivery and Business Improvement
    • Location:- Sheffield (hybrid working available)
    • Salary:- Scale 3/4 Points 14 – 20 £35,028 to £43,781
    • Hours:- 35 hours, Monday to Friday

    Purpose and Objectives:

    The purpose of this post is to effectively manage all aspects of business change, in particular as they affect IT systems. The role requires proven experience of IT systems coupled with analytical capabilities and great people skills. Successful applicants will display many of the skills of Business Analyst, Systems Analyst and Project Manager.

    Most of all a Change Practitioner must be willing and able to become an expert in all areas of change management.

    As a Change Practitioner you will be expected to have at least 18 months experience in the competencies as listed. That experience may include time already spent as a Business Analyst, if the experience is relevant. Focus on organising and delivering change.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide support for the day-to-day operation of a variety of change activities, liaising with and efficiently in line with business requirements.
    • Be familiar with the Business Change Lifecycle and ensure it is followed.
    • You will be responsible for ensuring a good understanding of the business systems and will assist with training where necessary across the business for new changes delivered.
    • Define business needs and requirements for improving any aspect of the IT systems which serve the business and create viable specifications in preparation for the development or implementation of those systems. In particular: - Organising and facilitating requirements gathering workshops. Working closely with stakeholders to ensure that business needs are satisfied. Preparation of Business Requirement and Functional Requirement documents, owning those through the peer review and approval process.
    • Lead internal/client/joint project meetings. Organising their resources so that priorities are delivered.
    • Prioritising requirements.
    • Work within an agile methodology to ensure that value is added rapidly.
    • Ensure that issues and risk are catalogued and reported to software suppliers, and that those issues are resolved timely and satisfactorily.
    • Liaising with external suppliers to ensure that requirements are understood, and that deliverables satisfy those requirements.
    • To review database designs proactively to ensure that they are efficient and support our MI requirements.
    • To lead testing prior to deployment.
    • To work closely with the members of the project team to help ensure that projects are delivered in line with requirements, on time and to budget.
    • To act as a BA, BA/PM, or pure PM depending on the project complexity.
    • Use project management tools to track progress against deliverables.
    • Ensure that we have a high level of business readiness for any change.
    • To help provide suitable reporting on projects progress.
    • Strategic thinking. To be able to design and appraise different solutions to select the best one.
    • To seek out and participate in any training that will increase your skill levels.

    About you...

    The ideal successful candidate will meet the following essential criteria:-

    • Have right to work in the UK full time for a minimum of 2 years (NOCN Group does not offer visa sponsorship).
    • Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy.
    • Educated to Level 4 or equivalent in a business analysis or IT related discipline.
    • Proven Change Practitioner or Business Analyst Experience (minimum 18 months).
    • Experience of working independently and as an integral part of a team.
