    WHAT WE WANT YOU TO DO.....


    • To provide clerical and administrative support to services within Education, Schools & Inclusion,
    ensuring an efficient and effective service is provided.


    • To deal with enquiries in a timely and professional manner to ensure a high level of customer service to
    service users, members of the public and external organisations via telephone, letter, email and in
    person.


    • To maintain and update manual and computerised information systems, ensuring information used by
    the service is accurate.


    • To co-ordinate responses to Freedom of Information and subject access requests in a timely
    manner and in accordance with GDP Regulations.


    • To undertake general financial administration in accordance with the Council's financial regulations
    including budgets, budget monitoring, processing of invoices and other areas as required.


    • To attend and contribute to service and team meetings, recording proceedings where necessary.
    • To produce concise and accurate minutes and/or reports, as and when required.
    • Such other responsibilities allocated, which are appropriate to the grade of the post

    Requirements

    THE KNOWLEDGE THE QUALIFICATIONS


    • Word processing, database and spreadsheet
    skills, particularly Microsoft Office


    • Effective written and oral communication skills.
    • 5 GCSE's A-C or 9-4 passes or equivalent,
    hold a NVQ level 3 in Business Admin or be
    willing to work towards, or satisfactory relevant
    experience

    THE EXPERIENCE

    • Experience of administrative support in an
    education or customer service role.


    • Experience of the implementation and
    maintenance of manual & computerised
    information systems.


    • Ability to organise and prioritise workload to
    ensure timescales are met.


    • Working in a team and on own initiative.
