Description

We are very excited to support one of our large manufacturing clients with their search for an experienced Project Engineer.

Within this role, you will have overall responsibility for leading and coordinating New Product Introduction and transferring productsinto the manufacturing plant.

Role

Ensure that all NPI/transfer activities are completed on time and where necessary escalate issues to relevant team
Manage risks throughout the Project and to ensure that quality, cost, and delivery targets are met though being proactive and initiating corrective actions when needed
Maintain the project budget targets
Collaborating with crossfunctional teams consisting of members from functions such as Engineering, Quality, MP&L and manufacturing, ensuring that all Pre-Production activities are achieved on time
Manage introduction of all tooling and equipment ensuring process flow and SOP's are implemented and agreed with manufacturing teams
Manage production readiness in the plant such as tooling & equipment availability, initial sampling, run at rate studies and PPAP documentation.
Provide analysis of project issues and ensure they are communicated appropriately

Person

Engineering qualification
Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and understand technical drawings/ CAD and specifications
Excellent communication, ability to work under pressure and work to agreed timelines
