    The Opportunity

    We are seeking multiple Civil/Structural engineers ideally located in either Glasgow or Edinburgh, to help deliver a diverse range of projects within our major client portfolios. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about technical excellence and providing an outstanding service to our clients. This is an opportunity to technically guide projects within our exciting and innovative, Energy Water and Resources engineering team with particular focus on Water/Power projects such as the design of water carrying structural elements of hydro power stations.

    Is this role right for you?

    We have multiple roles available due to the growth of this area and would like to hear from experienced Civil / Structural Engineers with a background in the Energy and / or water sector. The following skills and attributes are of interest for these roles;

  • MEng or MSc level in Civil Engineering or related subject / Chartered Civil Engineer, Chartered Structural Engineer, or working towards this status.
  • Relevant experience in the technical design of civil structural elements, such as hydraulic structures, dams, water schemes/frameworks, with a preference in energy projects.
  • Experience of the application Eurocodes and British Standards.
  • Appreciation and understanding of geotechnical and hydraulic design standards and in the dynamic loading of structures.
  • Proficiency in the use of structural design software for finite element analysis of concrete structures.
  • Competence in review of drawings and interrogation of 3D Modelling of civil engineering projects, using industry-recognized software system e.g. Civil 3D, Revit or equivalent.
