Our client is currently looking for a Head of Building Structures based in Grangemouth.

The ideal person will come from a Building Structures background who can join a well established small team of 2No IStructE chartered engineers and 2No graduates in delivering predominantly buildings projects.

The buildings our client designs are often industrial in nature and usually have a complexity in their design. These may be blast, fire, toxic gas tight and/or seismic

Due to the nature of the work and the background within the team the successful candidate must be able to manage the delivery process of a building.

Along with this you will be willing to lead alternative technical projects such as:
temporary works, bridge assessment / design, demolition pre-weakening, foundations, etc. Technical support would be provided where out with competence area

Whilst in post the role will require someone who can commercially manage the delivery of a number of projects:

Financial management and invoicing
Commercial / contract management

This is a client facing position so relationship building and business development will be key.
