Here, you will have the opportunity to work for
Oxford City Council as a Level 3 Data Specialist Apprentice.
Overall purpose:
Will be to develop the skills necessary to analyse the People Team systems to deliver a broad range of data sources to produce timely and concise data solutions to achieve results.
Main responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other services and teams to interpret, create and maintain reliable data information systems in support of delivering excellent customer service to external and internal customers
- To be a key member of the People Team, providing technical and administrative support in support of delivering the People Strategy
- Develop and deliver effective, high quality system support and customer service (to both internal and external customers) to the Council's Human Resources and Payroll functions in response to the varying workflows and changing priorities across the team.
- Ability to develop in collecting, organising and studying data demonstrating an analytical and problem solving approach.
- Conduct detailed analysist across a broad range of data sources and producing timely and concise results.
- Play a key role in supporting engagement with service areas to understand their needs and develop processes and systems to deliver results.
- Undertake test cycles on client data as required.
- Benchmark trends including sharing learning from course to transfer and update the teams systems and knowledge in support of delivering the People Strategy.
- Support and develop internal structures and systems as required.
- Support and contribute to projects as required, demonstrating a flexible approach across the team.
- Assist with administration and HR activities as required.

Desirable skills:
- Ability to collect, organise and study data demonstrating an analytical and problemsolving approach
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Proficient in the use of ICT, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
- A keen interest in undertaking further training and development
- Effective organisation skills in order to work to deadlines and manage own workload
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills to build effective working relationships with people at all levels across the organisation
- Awareness of data protection and the importance of confidentiality when handling sensitive data
- High level of attention to detail
- Interest in developing how to present data effectively to persuade, endorse and inform decisions
The ability to work from home and/or office as required, demonstrating a flexible approach to working as part of the team in support of service objectives.
Entry requirements:
The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)

Salary:
£11,934 per annum (pro-rata part-time) in Year 1,
£14,238 post successful 6-month probation (pro-rata part-time).£18,258 per annum (pro-rata part-time) in Year 2.

QA's apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.
To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
