Based in the global HQ at Baker Street, the internal communications team provides support to UK and global offices, providing strategic advice, formulating, and implementing internal communication strategies and campaigns.

The team is part of the wider Marcomms (Marketing & Communications) team.


The Internal Communications Executive will work with the Internal Comms team on internal communications strategies and plans to support divisional business priorities.

They will collaborate across the divisions and UK business to prepare creative internal communications approaches to inspire and engage teams.

They will support Group-wide and UK-wide initiatives, helping make them relevant for the appropriate divisional teams.


The Internal Communications Executive will work closely with colleagues from the Marcomms Delivery and Production (D&P) team, such as our Campaign Planners and Channel Planners, to deliver successful internal communications campaigns and activities.


Responsibilities

  • Work as part of the Internal Comms business partnering team which advises the business on strategic internal communications approaches to engage the relevant audiences.
  • Help create innovative communication activity to involve, engage and motivate colleagues to deliver business priorities.
  • Work as part of the UK Internal Communications team to enable a joinedup approach to UKwide communications.
  • Work with the D&P team to ensure a clear briefing process and seamless flow of activity, to enable smooth and timely delivery of campaigns.
  • Create internal communications plans to support activities, working with the internal communications business partners and D&P team.
  • Support change and transformation programmes for the divisions as needed.
  • Support high profile activities such as town hall meetings, leadership updates, content for events and cascades.
  • Maintain useful data to support internal comms approaches, such as engagement stats (opens, views, click throughs) to provide insight on the effectiveness of messages and campaigns, and opportunities to improve.

About you
You will have experience of working with senior leaders in a global business. A pragmatic problem-solver, who thrives in a complex and changing environment. Experience of working in a sales-led, fast-paced business would be an advantage.


Experience

  • 23 years' experience working as an internal communications professional.
  • Experience of working with leadership teams.
  • Experience working in a professional services or partnership environment.
  • Experience of executing strategic employee communications across a variety of channels.
  • A journalism/communication qualification would be useful.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
  • Excellent organisational, coordination, project and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Some knowledge of communication best practice, with specific understanding of the role of internal communication and employee engagement in business.
  • Pragmatic and professional.
  • Confident interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders at all levels.
  • A selfstarter, who is open to new ideas and ways of working.
  • Comfortable working at pace, juggling multiple activities.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change positively.
  • Ability to work under pressure and develop workable solutions.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all areas of work.
  • High level of proficiency in all Microsoft Office products.
