Elevation Recruitment Group and working with a leading engineering business in West Yorkshire to recruit a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Our client is a turnkey Engineering business who design, develop and manufacture bespoke machinery for material handling, heavy processing, recycling and power generation environments.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will design and detail bespoke machinery, carry out calculations and analysis and ensure compliance with indiustry standards and machinery directives.

Creating plant layout drawings including foundation and loading details
Design, 3D model and detail individual components, sub-assemblies and overall machine assemblies
Carry out design calculations and FEA
Conduct design risk assessments, FMEA/FMECA to comply with standards and directives
Maintain adequate records in accordance with the business's quality assurance system.
Seek out new product design technologies and techniques that support continuous improvement
Train and mentor Design Office personnel as and when requested by your line manager.
HND or Degree Qualified in a Mechanical Engineering discipline
Background in bespoke machinery design (crushers, presses, conveyors, rotating equipment etc.)
Skilled user of 3D CAD packages such as SolidWorks, Inventor or Solid edge
Able to carry out engineering caluclations and analysis
