Placement Officer


Qualification:

Experience:0 to 2 years

  • Sourcing new employer contacts and account manage relationships with existing employers, from local and regional to provide placement and work experience opportunities for students in line with set Key performance indicators (KPI) targets.
  • Consulting with businesses to explain the Academy structure and requirements for students on placement/work experience programs, including the roles and responsibilities of the student, employer, and Academy.
  • Attending relevant events (Industry expos, recruitment fairs, Chamber of Commerce) to promote the Placement and Employment Services and the wider Academy through networking.
  • Coordinating in conjunction with the wider team within Placement and Employment Services to organize and promote specific industry related fairs, presentations and workshops for employers on campus.

Priority 1: Accountability for protocols being followed in a streamlined and efficient manner.

  • Acting as the main point of contact within the academic environment for students who need guidance and support for placements.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for all the students regarding any communication related to placements and the related skills.
  • Enabling students' given full opportunity to explore the options for placements and disclosing the full process of placements.
  • Representing the institution through participation in appropriate and training sessions

Priority 2: Delivering excellence in service, both through internal and external communications

  • Ensuring students are being communicated effectively and with clear purpose.
  • Collaborating with other departments as and when required when working on the placements reports and during inductions.
  • Ensuring that the process and structure of Placements explained to the academics, staff and students.
  • Building and developing positive working relationships with students their supervisors.
  • Maintaining accurate statistics and monthly reports.
  • Communicating with students on placements regularly and timely to monitor their progress.

Priority 3: Effective delivery on specific case management

  • Supporting students with adjustments through involving the DAS, Students services and Programme Leader.
  • Presenting advice and support to students on CV, Interview skills or anything related to teaching field.
  • Providing sufficient adjustments in collaboration with other academic staff.
  • Monitoring and coordinating the portfolio submission by students and academic staff.
  • Providing information, advice, and support to colleagues within the institution on supporting students with regarding the basic idea of placements.
  • Ensuring Inductions, Admissions procedures, programme handbooks and actively promote and discuss the information about placements.
  • Managing and conducting the first stage student portfolio audits.

Salary:
£21,981.32-£24,500.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • London, E14 9RH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
