Are you highly motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic nurse with a love for caring for patients with Haematology conditions. Then joining MYTT's Haematology CNS team is the role for you.
The CNS team comprises of 1 band 7 and 2 band 6 clinical nurse specialists who work closely with the MDT, chemo day units and our Haematology ward (Gate 21 at Pinderfields General Hospital). The CNS team work on all our 3 sites at Pinderfields, Pontefract and Dewsbury Hospital. You will act as a key worker for patients from diagnosis and through there treatment. You will play a pivotal role in the patients journey by being a point of contact offering support and advice for a variety of treatments and complex interventions.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will organise and manage a caseload for patients diagnosed with Haematological conditions, providing specialist nursingsupport, advice and education and care. You will carrycontinuing responsibility for the assessment of needs, development,implementation and evaluation of programmes of care and the setting ofstandards within the defined service group. The post holder would be required to support the band 7 team leader to develop the service and protocols within it whilst working closely with the MDT.
You would be required to review, interpret and act upon diagnosticinvestigations and point of care testing which may effect, change to individualcare plans, liaising with MDT where necessary. This may be through nurse led clinics which would then requireliaising with Chemo Day Units and Medical Infusion Unit staff to ensure patients receive their treatment in a timely manner.
