This is an excellent opportunity for a CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards) HR professional to get involved in all aspects of generalist HR in an environment where you'll be presented with plenty of opportunities to grow and with lots of exposure.


We are embarking on a journey to embed Restorative Just and Learning Culture into the Surgical Division, and part of this role will involve having difficult conversations to ensure we are supporting our people in the best way we can.

Forming strong relationships with managers and demonstrate active listening. You will develop your coaching and influencing skills and be able to show others your point of view. You should be resilient be prepared to challenge and to be challenged. Guiding managers through informal and formal ER cases, in line with policy, employment law and best practice.

The first port of call for advising on issues


sickness absence and health and wellbeing conversations, conduct, performance, grievance and bullying and harassment procedures, as well as taking responsibility for the administration of workforce management systems and processes, escalating where necessary.

  • To act as the first point of contact for all HR queries for their delegated area, redirecting queries appropriately where necessary within their HR Team.
  • To be responsible for ensuring that where new recruitment or financial changes are requested, that these are raised with the relevant Management Teams through the appropriate processes and that any queries related to these requests have been resolved prior to seeking Divisional Management Team's approval.
