    Are you an Automotive Engineer with experience in Electrical Test, looking to join a leading Research and Development Team, for a major automotive manufacturer? Do you have passion for future vehicle development?

    One of the world's largest automotive manufacturers is currently recruiting for an Electrical Test Engineer with experience in HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), to help them develop unique and innovative automotive products.

    Based in Bedfordshire, you will support the Electrical & Electronic (EE) Test team on a rolling contract basis.

    The Electrical Test Engineer responsibilities include:


    • Development of HIL system for Body Electronics and Powertrain systems


    • Management of HIL testing on Electrical Integrated PlatForm


    • Concern identification and resolving issues with HIL models and testing.


    • Creation of test plans and testing procedures


    • Reporting of test results


    • Technical point of contact for all HIL related matters

    Qualifications and skills required for the Electrical Test Engineer position:


    • Ideally Degree qualified in a relevant discipline


    • Working knowledge of electrical architecture


    • Understand electrical theory, the operation of electronic devices, electromagnetic fundamentals and components, and vehicle EMC test requirements


    • Experienced in risk assessment of electrical design and generation of test plans


    • Understand network communications and bus principles


    • Ability to follow system circuit diagrams and identify electrical connections


    • Experience in applying HIL for Electrical testing

    There is a requirement to travel abroad within this role, typically a few days to 2 weeks, but on rare occasions travel may be longer.
