    Description

Fleet Education Services is searching for experienced GCSE English Tutors to provide enduring, in-person support to young learners in Bedfordshire.

    About us

Fleet Education Services is a leading provider of quality supplementary and alternative provision throughout the UK. With our commitment to excellence, we strive to empower students and help them achieve their academic goals through our tailored 1:1 and small group education programmes, delivered by our specialist tutors who share in our aim to ensure that every learner we support thrives.

    The role

We have learners who need you to make a difference to their lives now; this is your opportunity to provide meaningful, holistic support to young people referred to us that demonstrate additional learning requirements or who are struggling to meet age-related academic expectations. Your skill and expertise will play a leading role in improving their self-confidence and subject knowledge, ultimately becoming a positive influence during their journey throughout education. Learners referred to us will generally require tuition either in their own homes with a parent/guardian present for the session, or at their school.

We receive opportunities to tutor in-person throughout Bedfordshire, with placements arising in Bedford, Milton Keynes, Luton and Dunstable. Our tutors have full control over the hours and placements that they accept from us - applicants with excellent availability for in-person tutoring will be provided considerable hours on a weekly basis, including daytime opportunities.

If you're a passionate teacher or tutor, experienced in supporting English at GCSE level and who would relish the opportunity to engage learners in education, then we'd love to welcome you into our tutoring community.

    What we offer

    • Competitive weekly renumeration through PAYE.
    • Control over your workload; flexible roles that fit around your existing commitments and availability.
    • Ongoing training opportunities that count towards your CPD and provide insight into working with SEN learners.
    • A dedicated Tuition Consultant who will work closely with you to ensure you have as much work as you are able to fulfil, matching you to opportunities that meet your preferences.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's level degree or teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS).
    • Minimum 6 months teaching/tutoring experience within the UK.
