Serco have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to be based at our site at RNAS Culdrose located in Helston, Cornwall.

Serco are proud to support the IMOS (Integrated Merlin Operational Support) at Royal Navy Air Station Culdrose, that delivers services ranging from the repair and maintenance of Military aircraft
- and off aircraft support services. Culdrose is one of the Navy's two principal air bases, and one of the busiest military airfields in the UK.


Our Administrator role is a varied and challenging role that requires an exceptionally organised, practical, and proactive individual to provide professional, administrative and project support to the managerial functions of an advanced aircraft support facility.

This role is focused on the operation of IMOS activities as delivered by Leonardo Helicopters at RNAS Culdrose and will report to the Leonardo Depth Support Manager and the Serco Support Admin Manager.


Main Accountabilities:


  • Providing administrative support, and coordination, between all elements of daytoday MDMF & R2 management at RNAS Culdrose
  • Assisting with and maintaining sound communication and coordination between the IMOS management team and wider internal/external stakeholders.
  • Organising and coordinating Culdrose Development and management plan activity and compiling the IMOS Service delivery plan.
  • Collating data and produce reports for monitoring local internal performance
  • Arrange meetings as required and provide briefs prior to meetings.
  • Responsible for taking and producing accurate notes/minutes where required and maintain follow up action plans and action accordingly.
  • Manage and respond to straightforward correspondence on behalf of the management team, as tasked.
  • Responsible for maintaining all aspects of filing.

Building Manager:
weekly fire alarm checks, fire extinguisher checks, maintaining the Building Manager Log Book and Fire Safety Log Book.

  • Other tasks within their capability are carried out as directed by the Leonardo Depth Facility Manager/and or Serco Support Admin Manager
  • Carry out any Administration tasks are carried out as required by the Leonardo Depth Facility Manager/and or Serco Support Admin Manager
  • Further training courses necessary to their job are attended as required by the Leonardo Depth Facility Manager/and or Serco Support Admin Manager
  • Monitoring hazards and ensuring risks, and issues are identified and quantified
  • To participate in Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives and associated programmes when required.
  • To remain flexible and carry out any other tasks within their capabilities and experience in support of the Contract as directed by the Leonardo Depth Facility Manager/and or Serco Support Admin Manager or their representative.

What you'll need to do the role:

  • Experience within an administrative office-based function.
  • A thorough and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, especially Excel and Word, with the ability to learn internal computerbased admin systems Access and Systems Applications and Products (SAP).
  • Good people management experience, being highly selfmotivated with exceptional organisational skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and to suggest improvements to processes
  • Exceptional organisational skills and 'cando' attitude.
  • A good capability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining administration outputs.
  • Ability to hold MOD security clearance.
