Job Introduction:


Temporary Works Supervisor (Scaffold Biased) to provide temporary works supervision for construction and operational tasks within our projects and frameworks on Sellafield Site.


Role Responsibility:


  • Accountable to the Atkins Construction Manager and reporting to the relevant project temporary works coordinator.
  • Understand their area of responsibilities on projects/frameworks in regards to temporary works.
  • Provide and update information in support of Temporary Works Design Brief preparation, TW register establishment and maintenance, appointments, implementation, issue of permits etc.
  • To collaborate with the Engineering team to assist and support installation design on site whilst working closely with the client engineering team.
  • Checking technical drawings, designs and specifications to ensure constructability.
  • Ensuring that installed systems are fit for purpose, integrated, optimized, and satisfies the specified functional requirements.
  • Undertake any other duties required to ensure efficient delivery of the project.
  • Provide technical advice, problem solving and solutions to any difficulties which may be encountered during construction activities.
  • Provide costeffective proposals, solutions and alternatives for the project.

_ Essential Skills/Qualifications -_

  • Minimum of 2 Years relevant experience in the management and implementation of Temporary Works.
  • CITB Accredited TWC Training.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Accessing Operations and Slinging (Scaffolding) or Equivalent Scaffolding Qualifications.
  • IOSH Managing Safely.
  • CSCS Accredited Card Holder.
  • SC Clearance.
  • P4 Pass holder.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience of scaffolding work in an industrial environment.
  • Knowledge of Sellafield site procedures.
  • Ability to keep accurate and detailed records.
  • Conversant with the IT Microsoft office work packages.
  • Drive and energy with a strong aptitude for problem solving.
  • Knowledge of Quality Plans, Inspection Test Plans and Lifetime Record compilation.
  • Good understanding of CDM Regulations and relevant building and H&S legislations.

_ Desirable -_

  • CSCS Gold Supervisor Card (NVQ Level 3 / 4).
  • Understanding of project delivery at all stages from design concept through to construction and delivery.
