The Opportunity

We are currently looking for a Hairdressing Tutor/Assessors to work 4 to 5 days per week working within our highly motivated and busy Apprenticeship team based in Basingstoke/London.

The potential candidate should have an outgoing, driven, and confident approach with a true passion for developing young people. They should be able to coordinate, plan and deliver training programmes to apprentices within a salon or Hub setting.

They should have excellent organisational, administration and communication skills, be computer literate with relevant assessor/teaching qualifications or working towards and must be willing to travel in order to deliver training and assessment to apprentices out in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivering all aspects of the apprenticeship including functional skills, theory and practical training in-line with the awarding organisation and T&G guidelines
• Monitoring progress, carrying out reviews and developing individual learning plans with apprentices.
• Auditing the health and safety in salons where apprentices are present
• Taking part in quality systems, including auditing, and updating
• Comply with all safeguarding policies and procedures

We'd love to meet someone with:

• The relevant assessor and teaching qualifications
• With a minimum one year's experience of training/assessing apprentices.
• The competence to work without supervision
• The experience and knowledge to deliver functional skills to apprentices
• The ability to support apprentices in the achievement of their qualification
