£ 90,000 - £ 110,000 p.a. + remote working + flexible working + excellent pension and a leading benefits package

The Role


Working for one of the UK's leading research and development groups which is driving innovation and revolutionising technologies in the electronics sector, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing, and maintainingrelationships with key industry partners, and leading the development of new programs and initiatives.


Key responsibilities:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including commercial opportunities, partnerships, collaborations, and funding opportunities

Develop and maintain relationships with key industry partners, including advanced technology companies, academic institutions, and government agencies

Oversee the management of existing business development activities and projects

Drive the commercial and collaborative funnel by including identifying and targeting potential partners, negotiating and closing deals, and managing ongoing relationships

Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement a strategic business development plan

Represent the company at industry events and conferences


Manage and lead the business development team, ensuring that all team members are meeting their objectives and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

This includes setting goals and objectives, providing direction and guidance, recruitingand allocating resources.

Develop key relationships with government or funding bodies in order to secure funding and support

Must have experience working in one of the following: electronics, photonics, sensors, RF, research and development, innovation or an advanced a high technology product

A minimum of 10 years of experience in business development

Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities

Experience developing and maintaining relationships with key industry partners

Ability to travel as needed for business development and industry events

Experience in a technology, consultancy services or innovation centre or similar organization

Demonstrated success in driving business development efforts and achieving growth

Strong strategic thinking and planning skills

Ability to effectively manage budgets and resources

Minimum bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, business, science)
