Fibre Civils Manager


We are seeking a skilled Civils Manager with Fibre experience to work within our Fibre department across several projects in London.


The ideal Fibre Civils Manager will collaborate with various teams to maximise overall output to a high quality to meet customer requirements.


You will be an integral part of the team as we work to achieve our goal of 200,000 premises over the next 2 years and this role will support the additional teams required in civils to achieve this.


The Fibre Civils Manager would be responsible for:

  • Blockages and infill works to enable Fibre to be installed
  • NRSWA compliance and quality control of the works
  • Follow track rod and rope activities we will need to process A55 and plan the civils activities to limit the impact on THP (The Homes Passed)
  • Overall evaluation of works being completed and approval of invoices
  • Defect avoidance and protecting the company from LA charges
  • Investigating noncompliance throughout the project lifecycle, via audits, inspections and accident/nearmiss investigation
  • Utilise jobmanagement systems and liaise with other departments to monitor both project and commercial performance against agreed targets
  • Complete As Laid documentation to enable S30 to seek payments by uploading through client's portal
  • Checking and signing off vehicle and plant inspections
  • Coordinate and support the management team in achieving the forecasted THP each month

We would welcome applicants with the following skills & expertise:

  • Relevant qualifications/degree (NRSWA and Smart Awards card for Telecoms)
  • Telecoms experience in civils, specifically on Fibre related projects and PIA (3 Years minimum)
  • Solid understanding of Fibre and Civils works and the specifications of the builds
  • Hold a NRSWA supervisors accreditation
  • Ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts effectively
  • Takes a logical and orderly approach to analysing problems, organising work and planning actions
  • Minimise any section 74 fines and the avoidance of damages on all sites
  • UK driving licence
