We are currently recruiting for a HV & LV Approved, Technical Engineering Supervisor to oversee the provision of Technical Services including Mechanical, Electrical and HVAC at our site in Bristol.


You will provide engineering support to Facilities Managers and also be a point of contact for Account Management Teams for technical support and advice including best practice.

Some travel to our other sites in Stevenage and Bolton will be required when additional support is needed.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain a PPM schedule that meets contractual and legal obligations based on SFG20 Guidelines and Manufacturers recommendations.
  • Support and advise Facilities Manager in the control of PPM activities.
  • Manage and implement the Safe System of Works
  • Lead the engineering team to deliver a safe, compliant, cost effective and responsive service.
  • Working with the engineering team to provide an efficient / cost effective management of all Suppliers which includes lifts, building management controls and fire systems
  • Contribute to plans and strategies for the future development of facilities.
  • Ensure all work is carried out on all sites to an acceptable level and to consistent engineering and H & S standards through regular monitoring of both inhouse and contractor performance and competence.
  • Develop, manage and coordinate a process to continually review Service Suppliers.
  • Provide effective liaison and communication with the client, other service teams and senior management for all technical service activities.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 NVQ Level 23 Electrical or equivalent
  • 18th Edition
  • 2391 Inspection and Testing
  • Working knowledge of SFG20 Maintenance Specification
  • LV AP & HV AP training within past 3 years
  • Experience of managing at a senior level a multidisciplinary service to a complex facility incorporating maintenance and engineering.
  • Demonstrates experience of cocoordinating and managing Technical Services and good awareness of fitout and H & S issues.
  • Knowledge of building services/utilities, energy utilisation and procurement, business planning, and financial/budgetary controls
