    Role and key responsibilities

    This is a hands on, client facing role within our Global Estate Management real estate team. You will have your own files and will take ownership of your matters and deal with them through to their conclusion. You will act primarily for our TMT occupier clients, managing their real estate portfolio across the globe, dealing with BAU transactional documents and day to day real estate queries, managing international law firm relationships, as well as the clients.

    You will report directly into a Senior Legal Manager and on occasion the Senior Leeds Office Partner. You will also be supervised and assisted by other Paralegals, including the Senior Paralegal within the team. We are particularly looking for individuals with creativity who want to join a progressive and innovative firm and who are passionate about wanting to be the best. We want to continue winning the best work for the best clients whilst at the same time pushing the boundaries for truly putting the client at the heart of everything we do.

    Your duties will include:

  • Dealing with high volume, quick paced work and your own transactions from the outset.
  • Adhering to strict client key performance indicators
  • Client contact – transactional and relationship management including feeding into weekly and monthly client updates
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of transactional documentation including leases, surrenders, lease renewals and licences
  • Undertaking, reviewing and reporting on search results, title investigation and negotiated documents
  • Assisting the team on post-completion aspects of transactions, including SDLT Returns, applications to Companies House and Land Registry applications
  • Use of legal technology to support the team and managing client and internal extranet sites
  • Following, adapting and providing constructive feedback on agreed processes in place for global estate management
  • Managing multiple international matters for our clients global estate management portfolios
  • Skills and experience

    We are looking for:

  • Paralegal experience in an office environment is important and experience within a real estate department would be desirable but not essential
  • Excellent academic qualifications
  • Completion of the LPC is desirable but not essential
  • A committed team player demonstrating a proactive "can do" attitude
  • Experience of dealing with your own case load and meeting and managing deadlines
  • Excellent communication and organisational
  • Self-motivation
  • Ability to work under pressure in addition to being flexible and resilient
  • Dedication to delivering excellent client service at all times
  • Proficient on Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Experience with project management is desirable but not essential
  • Confidence with speaking over the phone with clients and key international stakeholders
