    We're currently recruiting for a Senior Endpoint Systems Engineer (Senior Technician) to join the Hardware & Mobility Product Team with technical knowledge and skills to ensure maximum availability and optimum performance of our endpoint devices and application stack. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team who are developing new technologies surrounding Endpoint devices and Microsoft products.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Apply detailed technical knowledge and skills to resolve complex or high profile incidents as they occur to maintain IT Service continuity.
  • Proactively maintain existing systems in line with relevant standards and controls to ensure the provision of IT services.
  • Identify and eliminate the root cause of complex systems issues to avoid repetition of problems and improve the overall quality of the IT service.
  • Provide in depth technical knowledge to Architects and Designers to influence the direction of design and ensure smooth implementation of new or enhanced systems.
  • Develop and document processes to accompany new systems or enhancements to ensure effective implementation of new or improved systems.
  • Actively manage any vendor supplied system licences to help control costs.
  • Implement and maintain controls for disaster recovery or major outage to ensure service continuity is maintained.
  • Act as Subject Matter Experts for specific systems or services in order to provide an escalation point for complex technical problems.
  • Ability to work in a range of environments including within projects and/or operational teams.
  • Communicating complex technical solutions effectively to a variety of stakeholders.

  • Windows 10 and Windows 11 OS
  • Intune/Mobile Device Management Application packaging App protection policies (MAM) Teams Meeting Rooms Lifecycle management Device provisioning (Autopilot) Understanding of how device compliance works
  • Entra Conditional Access Active Directory (and hybrid on-premise) LAPS (Local Administrator Password Solution)
  • Device Security Application control policies Data protection (drive encryption, WIP policies) Defender (including attack surface reduction) Firewall rules
  • Support of the following device types Windows OS Mobile devices – iPad/ IOS Android Laptops / Surface devices
  • Support of cloud print solutions (HP Secure Print)
  • Desirable

  • Working within an agile team
  • Core Microsoft 365 Products: Office 365 Exchange online SharePoint / OneDrive online Teams
  • Awareness of Microsoft security toolset, Purview .etc
  • Experience of ticket management systems (ServiceNow)
  • Android Administrator
