    Senior Accountant/ Manager– Practice – Hertfordshire

    About the Opportunity:

    Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant/ Manager to join their team who will be offered a variety of work.

    About the Responsibilities:

    This role will involve:

    • Experience at Manager/ Senior level.
    • Audit Experience.
    • Managing a team of 6 staff members.
    • Effectively managing practice client portfolio including everything from staff planning, management of WIP and billing.
    • Building and further developing client relationships with existing and new clients.
    • Displaying a strong commercial awareness in fee development.
    • Displaying pro-active awareness of current relevant legislation, compliance standards
    • Raising high quality business correspondence.
    • Acting as the main point of contact for compliance queries from clients within portfolio.
    • Quoting and estimating fees within your level of authority.
    • Meeting clients to pitch and tender for new work and putting together associated documents.
    • Business development – attending new client meetings and networking events.
    • Effectively delegating work to, and mentoring, the team.
    • Providing feedback to junior and senior team members about quality of work/performance.
    Managing the team including monitoring work in progress and work standards.

    About the Applicant:

    You will have:
    • Confident, articulate and an effective communicator at all levels
    • Well-presented and professional
    • Patience in training colleagues
    • ACA/ACCA Fully Qualified with 3+ years post qualification experience
    • Up to date knowledge of corporate and personal taxes
    • Strong time management skills
    • Previous management experience
    • Commercial and proactive approach to client development
