As a Learning Services Platform Consultant within the Learning and Skills practice, you'll join at an important time and be at the centre of implementing and maintaining our LMS, a critical pillar in our learning strategy, to support a shift of culture and capability across the Society.


Role holders are expected to have a good working knowledge of different LMS options and be familiar with the latest trends and technologies in LMS.

LMS Consultants are individual contributors who can work independently and as part of a self-organising team with expertise in learning solutions such as Thrive, Kineo, Saba, Cornerstone, and Oracle.

The Learning and Skills team sits within Leadership, Learning and Culture (LLC) which is one of the Professional Practices within the People Function.

LLC is responsible for building Society wide capability, a key deliverable for our strategic culture and capability lever.

The focus of LLC is to develop and embed key skills, and behaviours of our leaders, managers, and colleagues, so the Society wide business can deliver the strategy and meet customer needs.


This role within the Learning and Skills team, use colleague insights and innovative learning techniques to drive behavioural and skills development.

Your success isn't based on how long you spend at your desk. You'll have contracted hours, but we're always happy to support flexible working wherever we can. We will always strive to find a way that works for everyone.


The team operates a hybrid-working approach meaning travel to our Swindon, Northampton, or London offices is required on average once per week.


What you'll be doing:


Provide expert learning service platform (LSP) consultation to create a home for all learning, ensuring quality and consistency to deliver against the strategy and meet our customers' needs.


Build a catalogue of learning through integrating learning solutions and user generated content, manage 3rd party relationships, maintain platform integrity through system enhancements, upskill and guide users through the creation of self-serve tools, and evaluate (LSP) performance through data and insight ensuring it delivers against the scope, strategy and meet customers' needs.

Ensure our (LSP) solution is purposeful, engaging, and inclusive. You'll achieve this by keeping up to date with external developments across the industry.

Evaluate and quality check your work against robust success measures to ensure continuous quality


About you:


  • Proven experience of managing Learning Management System (LMS) or Learning Experience Platform (LXP) solutions for internal and externally sourced learning, increasing customer activation and engagement, and providing data and insight on KPI's.
  • An understanding of different LMS & LXP options and familiarity with the latest learning trends and technologies e.g. Thrive, Kineo, Saba, Cornerstone, and Oracle
  • Experience of learning campaigns that engage colleagues in learning, supporting the development of a learning culture/habit.
  • Strong experience of engaging customers as well as stakeholders at an equivalent level and two up. An appreciation of the priorities and preferences of our customers.
  • A good communicator, confident at both writing and presenting.
  • Ability to work at pace, prioritise and keep things simple to deliver customer value.
  • Able to understand, analyse and interpret data and build customer insight to inform and improve platform performance and customer experience.
