    Exciting Career Opportunity: Calibration Lead in Eastbourne, East Sussex

    Are you passionate about precision and accuracy? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a knack for managing complex calibration processes? We are seeking a talented Calibration Lead to join our client in Eastbourne, UK.

    Mission/Purpose of the Job: As the Calibration Lead, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our Calibration Laboratory. Your primary mission is to oversee the calibration of products, production equipment, and customer devices, ensuring compliance with ISO17025 standards and supporting our production output.

    Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct various types of calibrations, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Plan calibrations, evaluate results, and maintain the smooth running of the laboratory.
  • Manage calibration lab processes and equipment, ensuring conformity to UKAS requirements.
  • Develop and modify calibration methods, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the Quality team, delegating tasks as necessary.

    • Skills / Knowledge / Experience:

  • Degree/HND in a science/engineering discipline with expertise in vacuum/pressure measurement.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a similar calibration laboratory.
  • Previous certification against ISO17025 (UKAS) highly advantageous.
  • Strong managerial skills and ability to produce 8D reports.
  • Ability to collaborate and delegate effectively within a team.

    • Scope of the Job:

  • Hands-on role managing team workload and meeting calibration deadlines.
  • Key point of contact for technical issues related to calibration.
  • Occasional travel to UK, European, Asian & US locations for site visits and collaborations
