    Director of Procurement, HR & Professional Services

    Based in either Manchester (M17 1HR) or Weybridge (KT15 2HJ) – Hybrid (2 days office / 3 days home)

    Permanent, full time

    CHEP is embarking on an inspiring and thrilling initiative to enhance the organisation's engagement and efficiency in our user experience and strategic sourcing approach. We continue to expand globally and anticipate that our yearly global procurement expenditure in HR & Professional Services will surpass $270m.
    Consequently, CHEP is seeking to recruit a well-rounded Director of Procurement with a commercial acumen to lead the global strategic sourcing team in HR & Professional Services. You will be responsible for managing a small team through mentoring, succession planning and professional development.

    Over the next year, CHEP is embarking on a number of large-scale projects. These include the streamlining of our contingent labour and PSL's globally and the strengthening of our user experience with procurement and beyond.

    As a Procurement Director, you will manage and play an integral role in driving the strategic direction aligned with our strategy, mission, and vision. You will also play a pivotal role both leading and supporting the need to reduce costs, improve efficiency and effectiveness, increase transparency and compliance, and enhance the organisation's overall performance within the categories in scope.

    Do you offer...?

  • At least 7 years' procurement processes experience, procurement sourcing knowledge and category management awareness gained within a matrix organisation
  • At least 7 years' experience of HR and L&D procurement (indirect)
  • Robust stakeholder management experience and ability to influence at all levels
  • Experience gained within manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, FMCG or similar industries
  • Strong analytical skills, cost & financial management experience
