Job summary:

We're looking for a talented
Lead Dynamics 365 Administrator with
Dynamics 365 and Power Platform Experience.


As we continue to focus on customer-centricity and digital collaboration, the Microsoft 365 (M365) Team is playing an increasingly integral role within the business.

As a part of the M365 Team you will be at the heart of
managing a key customer relationship management system in Dynamics 365, enabling the business to engage with our customers as effectively as possible.


The M365 team is vital to our new ways of working within the UKHO, including hybrid working, digital collaboration, document management, Management Information (MI), Business Intelligence (BI), and process automation via SharePoint, Teams and the Power Platform.

There is flexibility within the platform and the team to allow you to become proficient with many of the M365 tools and services to support your own progression while also meeting the needs of the business.


Hybrid Working Expectations
Our team primarily work from home and only come into the office dependent on business needs.

There will be an initial 2-week period where you will need to come into our office in Taunton to go through our systems, tenant, and to meet other staff is preferred.

After this period you will be able to have a more fexible approach to where you want to work, in line with buisness needs.


Job description:


  • Lead and coordinate with other support teams and third parties the troubleshooting and resolution of complex problems related to Dynamics 365 and other Microsoft 365 issues. This includes the use of system administration tools to maintain service level agreements, referring to users, other staff, the Service Desk and suppliers where necessary, as well as identifying and analysing consistent problems and providing longterm fixes.
  • Lead on automation and simplification of business processes and work tasks using the Power Platform tools (Power Apps, Power Automate and Power BI).
  • Ensuring the operational health of Dynamics 365 and the Microsoft 365 environment including security, availability, maintenance, performance, interoperability, and reliability.
  • Engage with key business stakeholders to gather, review, and understand business needs and requirements and then design, configure and optimise Dynamics 365 and other Microsoft 365 platforms to meet these requirements.
  • Conduct routine monitoring and analysis, including audit log reports, evaluation, usage and system growth/capacity reports.
  • Keep up to date with Microsoft 365's roadmap and develop and maintain technology roadmaps to ensure solutions remain bleeding edge in terms of functionality, security, performance and availability. Ensure skillsets are updated in order to stay in line with the pace of the Microsoft 365 technology.
  • Train and educate endusers on Dynamics 365 and other Microsoft 365 capabilities and collaboration tools and empower them to get the most out of what is available to them.
  • Create and maintain up to date detailed process, procedure, and enduser guidance documentation
