    Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist with Special Interest in Acquired Neurology at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn

    An exceptional chance awaits you to be part of the dynamic Speech and Language Therapy Department at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn.

    Due to a service restructure, we are seeking energetic and dynamic Speech and Language Therapists with a Special interest in acquired neurology to enhance our service.

    As a welcoming district general hospital, we are specifically interested in individuals with a focus on acquired neurological conditions.

    • Acquired neurological conditions.

    Main responsibilities:

    • To deliver Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Service to acute hospital in-patients with various neurological conditions utilizing specialized skills in dysphagia and communication.
    • To contribute to instrumental evaluation of swallowing including Videofluoroscopy.
    • To assess and manage tracheostomy.
    • To evaluate the Speech and Language Therapy service focusing on acquired neurology, providing recommendations for enhancements aligned with best practices and guidelines.
    • To collaborate with the Multidisciplinary Team to diagnose, assess, treat, and manage swallowing and communication disorders within the specialty.
    • To offer expertise to colleagues, patients, and carers through specialized advice and education.
    • To assist the Speech and Language Therapy team in delivering care across the Acute Medical service.
