    We have an opening for a Ward Administrator Coordinator, to provide comprehensive administrative services to the clinical matron to optimise their time to enable them to fulfil the clinical element of their role.

    The post holder will provide a full secretarial and administrative service to optimise the time of the designated Managers by co-ordinating all diary commitments. The post holder will be expected to develop in-depth specialist knowledge of the team/service/division and the ability to provide detailed advice and information to whoever requests it. The role will require constant awareness of the work and key priorities of the division, dealing with highly confidential and sensitive matters.

    Victoria Ward is a 27 bedded gastroenterology and hepatology ward at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester, part of Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

    Main duties of the job

    We are looking for someone who can:

  • Provide administrative support for relevant members of staff to enable to efficient running of the ward including: Roster and staff support, Organisation of staff training and audit input
  • You will have knowledge of Microsoft word, Outlook, Excel, NHS applications and have a professional telephone manner

    Essential criteria

  • Level 4 NVQ or equivalent
  • Senior administration training or relevant experience
  • Recognised computer literacy course (e.g. ECDL) or equivalent experience

  • Planning and Organisation

  • Significant experience as a Management Assistant , some of which should be to very senior level executive
