    Beach Baker is delighted to be working exclusively with Clifton Diocese to recruit a Senior Estates Surveyor.

    THE CHARITY

    Clifton Diocese is the Catholic Diocese covering the West of England and includes the City and County of Bristol, the counties of Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire and Bath and North East Somerset.

    They own a diverse portfolio made up of over 300 assets, mainly consisting of churches and church halls, as well as investment properties, school buildings and school land.

    THE POSITION

    To provide support to the Bishop, Trustees, Parishes, other Curia departments and Schools within the organisation.

    This is a varied role but is primarily to assist the Head of Property Services in the working and operation of the Property Services Department, ensuring that buildings and land within the Diocesan property portfolio are well maintained, managed and in good order.

    Managing a fascinating property portfolio, many of which are traditional and listed buildings.

    Working as part of an established and supportive Property Services team, consisting of Head of Property, Schools Building Surveyor, Property Services Surveyor, H&S Coordinator and support staff.

    Autonomous role with responsibility for managing your own workload.

    No fee targets and relaxed working environment.

    THE CANDIDATE

    Minimum of 5 years' experience in the property or estates sector, from a building surveying background, and be able to carry out day-to-day portfolio management duties.

    Professional membership with RICS or CIOB (or working towards this), however this is not essential.

    Do not need to be practising Catholics but should be sympathetic to the aims and values of the Catholic Church.

    SALARY & EMPLOYEE BENEFITS

    Basic salary up to £50,000.

    25-days annual leave plus Bank Holidays.

    Up to 5% employer pension contribution.
