An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Clinical Team Leader to join Central Older People's Community Mental Health Team.

The team is based in Stowmarket, Suffolk and work with Older People who are experiencing a range of mental health needs.


Would you like to use your clinical skills and knowledge in a different way? Are you a team focused and enjoy new challenges? We would like to hear from you.


You will be joining an established and experienced Older Persons Community Mental Health team to lead and support them as they work with service users and carers in a Recovery focused way.

Currently rated as CQC 'Good', the team is highly skilled with supportive senior management. Low staff turnover, no waiting lists and high morale combine to make this a thriving team.

We are in an exciting phase of transformation which is seeing many positive introductions to the team, including an Independent Prescriber.

This post is also being offered as a secondment opportunity for colleagues who have not had previous management experience.

This gives you the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in a new direction for a defined, supported period.


You will be supported to develop your leadership and management skills through supervision, working with management team colleagues and revised Trust training programmes.

To provide both managerial and clinical support to the Multidisciplinary Team.

To engage in the wider Transformation agenda to ensure we are a multi-disciplinary service

To provide Governance and reporting on performance and Key Performance Indicators

To ensure the role of the Older Persons Mental Health team is understood with System partners.


The team you are joining are experienced Older Person clinicians and medics and have a passion for delivering on person focused outcomes.

The team works alongside colleagues delivering Working Age Adult services and enjoys a mutually supportive service delivery to service users in East Suffolk.


The team can access ongoing training within their role, clinical supervision, and regular access to support to grow their specialism.

All staff can access the NSFT Leadership Academy and leaders are especially encouraged to grow their skills to become effective leaders.
