Overview of Responsibilities:


Who are we looking for?

  • Broad remit across all UKAEA property interests including Culham, Rotherham, West Burton and joint venture at Harwell.
  • Be able to manage multiple stakeholders internal and external.
  • Work with non financial managers and influence other.
  • Need very good time management and prioritisation skills.
  • Be the technical finance property expert.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Be the trusted finance partner for the head of Campus Development and Buildings and Facility Management department.
  • Help shape the strategy & business plans.
  • Set annual budgets and quarterly forecasting.
  • Report monthly actuals, variance analysis and commentary.
  • Ensure financial governance and compliance with policies.

Qualifications:


Essential skills, experience and competence required

  • Fully qualified accountant, with significant post qualification experience in a senior role. Ideally with extensive experience as a finance business partner.
  • Being the financial technical expert for the property department and capital projects, complex financial reporting arrangements including Joint Ventures.
  • Highly motivated with capability to lead & develop direct reports and support overall development of the finance team.
  • Ability to establish strong working rapport with internal and external customers representing a variety of professional disciplines.
  • Experience of working with and advising programme leadership teams.
  • Highly accountable and focussed on delivery.
  • Highly proficient in Excel.
  • Experience of an ERP accounting system; experience of using Unit 4 (Agresso) would be an advantage.
  • Able to work on occasion to challenging timescales while still ensuring accuracy.
