Executive Network Group has partnered with one of the UK's largest food businesses in search of a Procurement Category Lead.


Salary:
£50,000 - £55,000


Responsibilities:


  • Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with preferred suppliers.
  • Negotiating prices, agree terms and conditions, and where required set up contracts and supply agreements.
  • Perform spend, contract, and market analysis for Distribution, Industrial Gases, and Chemical categories for communication to the wider business.
  • Work closely with the Head of Logistics to ensure the fleet renewal programme is up to date and tenders submitted in accordance to the company's requirements.
  • Resultsorientated with the ability to plan and deliver against targets and project deadlines.
  • Promotes innovative ways to add value and reduce costs within the category spend.
  • Report and communicate on supply chain risk and opportunity.
  • Accountable for the performance of the supply chain in areas of responsibility.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance to Procurement processes & procedures
  • Minimum of 2 years experience
  • CIPS qualified
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Contract management and supplier experience
  • Commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and tendering skills
  • Confidence and presentation skills
  • Ability to make decisions under pressure
  • Risk management experience
