    Description

    Reporting to and their job title: Commercial Director

    Number of reports: 4 direct reports, cleaning contract staff and ad-hoc on site contractors

    Location: Great Bridge. You may be required to travel to other sites across the UK on an ad-hoc basis

    Contracted Hours : 40 hours per week

    Contract Term : Permanent

    Environment: Demanding, rapid response manufacturing unit.

    MBP Door Solutions is one of the UK's largest stockists of standard paint grade, veneer-faced, moulded panel, feature and contemporary doors. Our range also includes pre-hung architectural doorsets, timber frames with glazed screens and a variety of acoustic options.

    Primary objective of this position:

    Provide a reliable and professional service to all operations at the Great Bridge site, ensuring that the site is legally compliant, well maintained, safe and fit for purpose at all times.

    You will be required to plan and co-ordinate specific site maintenance contracts and any remedial actions required along with project management of site improvements and changes.

    Key responsibilities and performance measures for this role:

    -Responsible for statutory requirements for fire safety.This will require involvement in fire alarm testing, alarm system service contracts, extinguisher management, risk assessments, sprinkler system, smoke cloak system and all associated fire safety procedures.

    -Source and co-ordinate service contracts for the group.

    -In conjunction with the Procurement Officer, negotiate the technical content of the site services contracts.

    -Coordinate all remedial actions required, utilising your team.

    -Project manage site improvements and changes from cradle to grave.-?Arrange and monitor all compliance and statutory testing i.e. PAT testing

    -Oversee the safe and effective use of contractors when required.

    -Manage site security including guarding, access and CCTV

    -Manage site contracts ie, valaters, window cleaners, external hygiene company, pest control

    -Oversee all cleaning and janitorial activities on the site

    -Manage annual maintenance contracts as agreed by the business

    -Maintain or repair site equipment as required from time to time

    -Promote recycling on site, both industrial and office waste

    -Comply with the Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the company health and safety policy, and ensure that any specific responsibilities are adequately delegated in their absence.

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience required:

    -HNC in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience is desirable

    -Must have extensive previous knowledge of running a project such as machinery installations or building work

    -IT literate in MS office products and email

    -Practical knowledge of facilities management

    -Management and control of sub-contract works

    -5 years experience in a maintenance / facilities management role

    -Negotiating Contracts

    Additional skill requirements:

    -Project management skills with regard to refurbishment and upgrades

    -Project management such as Prince2 would be advantageous

    -Good sense of urgency and responsiveness to repair situations
