About the Employer
I am a very elderly lady living in Bournville area in my own home in a retirement complex. I am bed bound, very elderly and need company, nice food and some personal care.

I have dementia and can be confused but with kind and understanding care I am happy and content most of the time.

I listen to music or watch TV, I sleep a lot now, I need to be kept safe and comfortable in my own home.

About the Role

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Support and/or prompt with personal care. This may include toileting, showering/bathing, getting in and out of bed, getting dressed.
  • Support and/or prompt with cooking/meal preparation and eating meals/drinks.
  • Assist with household chores and general homemaking.
  • Develop a good and trusting one to one working relationship.
  • Personal care will include : bed wash (with assistance), drinks in patient way, meal preparation: nice food is essential as one of my few pleasures now, career to be very patient when feeding.
  • Administrating liquid medication.
The individuals needs may vary from day to day and your tasks may reflect this. You could be required to perform other duties as reasonably required.

You have a responsibility as an employee to report all accidents to the employer immediately. You have a duty to report defects and / or hazards which may give rise to an accident. You are to ensure the safety of the individual at all times.

Required Training:

Moving and Handling. Training will be provided by the employer.

First Aid. Training will be provided by the employer.

Hours per week:
up to 15+ hours per week - days and or nights

Salary:
£11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
