- Main point of contact for Department Managers, assisting with meetings and diaries.
- Monitor and review the H&S records with the H&S Manager, such as Near Miss and Accident investigations.
- Maintain and update the register of approved contractors.
- Book, coordinate & induct external contractors on site, at head office.
- Maintain and update the Chemical Management System (COSHH) for the group.
- Collate data for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report to the group.
- Oversee the Material Handling Equipment Registers for the Group.
- Monitor training and completion rates across the group, ensuring all training records are kept up to date and organised.
- Proof and edit documentation e.g. Standard Operating Procedures, Tool Box Talks etc.
- Role modelling and encouraging a strong health and safety culture.
- Carry out safety inductions for new employees, at head office.
- Carry out any adhoc departmental tasks, including supporting the Q.A Manager or other reasonable tasks as requested by the company.
What experience do you need to have:
- Must have excellent IT skills including MS packages
- Ideally 2 year's experience in an administrative or coordination environment
- Administration NVQ or above would be advantageous, however not essential
- An interest in Health and Safety is desirable
- Must be organised and have good attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Confident to work collaboratively or independently on projects
- Positive influencing style
