About the role:


  • Main point of contact for Department Managers, assisting with meetings and diaries.
  • Monitor and review the H&S records with the H&S Manager, such as Near Miss and Accident investigations.
  • Maintain and update the register of approved contractors.
  • Book, coordinate & induct external contractors on site, at head office.
  • Maintain and update the Chemical Management System (COSHH) for the group.
  • Collate data for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and report to the group.
  • Oversee the Material Handling Equipment Registers for the Group.
  • Monitor training and completion rates across the group, ensuring all training records are kept up to date and organised.
  • Proof and edit documentation e.g. Standard Operating Procedures, Tool Box Talks etc.
  • Role modelling and encouraging a strong health and safety culture.
  • Carry out safety inductions for new employees, at head office.
  • Carry out any adhoc departmental tasks, including supporting the Q.A Manager or other reasonable tasks as requested by the company.

What experience do you need to have:

  • Must have excellent IT skills including MS packages
  • Ideally 2 year's experience in an administrative or coordination environment
  • Administration NVQ or above would be advantageous, however not essential
  • An interest in Health and Safety is desirable
  • Must be organised and have good attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Confident to work collaboratively or independently on projects
  • Positive influencing style
