JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Assistant Financial Controller will be a key member of the Finance Team, involved in all areas across the accounting function and supervising the accounts team.
  • Assist the Financial Controller in his role of providing regular and timely financial information and reports for the company.
  • Prepare of all monthly management accounts including but not limited to journal postings, accruals, prepayments, and monthly reports for the company.
  • Responsibility for the delivery of the quarterly VAT return including addressing VAT issues accordingly to the external deadlines.
  • Provide support to external auditors and advisors.
  • Assist the Financial Controller in identifying opportunities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of existing processes and procedures.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Educated to Degree level with a minimum of at least 4 years' experience in commerce and Industry.
  • Experience demonstrating proficiency in accountancy software including Sage, Xero, AutoEntry, Oracle Hospitality EPOS, Aloha EPOS, and [not essential but would be useful] Twinfield.
  • Experience demonstrating proficiency of MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel & Outlook).
  • Effective communication skills both verbal and written and able to be adaptive to different stakeholders/audiences.
  • Ability to working under pressure and meet deadlines.
