The role of Early Careers Specialist is an opening within the Early Careers team at the Skills Academy and will be key in ensuring we deliver our programmes to Extraordinary standards and we deliver our purpose of building Extraordinary futures.
The purpose of the role:
The Early Career Specialist will carry out all administrative tasks related to apprenticeships and early careers activity. Supporting the entire early careers team at Marshall Skills Academy to deliver programmes to internal and external customers.
Administration tasks include maintaining schedules, managing calendars, managing shared inboxes, maintaining resources, managing shared folders, financial reporting, tracking performance, updating multiple systems and platforms.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Administration related to apprenticeship recruitment activities
- Administration related to apprenticeship programme management and training
- Being a point of contact for the Marshall business and Marshall Skills Academy staff
- Maintaining the programme schedule for apprenticeship training delivery across all apprenticeship programmes
- Ensuring all records are up to date and maintained in accordance with ESFA, Ofsted, City & Guilds, EAL and other requirements
- Supporting community outreach activity and events
- Assisting with recruitment activities including assessment centres
- Managing meeting minutes and tracking of review and standardisation activities
- Assisting with pulling together surveys and feedback
- Assisting with ensuring facilities are set up and ready for apprenticeship activity
- Assisting with onboarding and induction activities
- Processing leavers, completers and any learner changes
- Assisting with any internal audits for City & Guilds, EAL, ESFA, Ofsted
Technical Competencies:
- Understanding of early careers training and development
- Understanding of UK apprenticeship standards and delivery
- Awareness of ESFA, Ofsted, City & Guilds, EAL and other requirements related to apprenticeship qualifications
- Awareness of Safeguarding, prevent, British values and SEND
- Competent with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
- Able to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Strong attention to detail
Experience:
- Experience in an early careers training and/or recruitment role at admin or coordinator level
- Understanding of apprenticeship programmes and training
- Understanding of apprenticeship standards and funding for apprenticeships
- Experience of balancing multiple priorities and stakeholders
- Administration related to training and/or recruitment within early careers
- Experience managing online systems and databases
- Customer service experience dealing with employers and apprentices
- Management of shared inboxes and calendars
- Experience attending schools' events and activities
- Experience attending and assisting with events and assessment days

Hybrid working role - Will be required to be on site at the training academy 3 days per week or as needed.
