Description
Contract to start until with a possible extension.

The support officer will help with the running of the following services:

Transport from Home, Community Alarm including (telecare/ telehealth services),, Meals at Home + (shopping) and Hospital to Home support Services.


Main duties
Supporting the Community & Wellbeing services team with administration support across all services in the absence of team members.

support the Community & Wellbeing services Assistant Manager with health and safety for the Community and wellbeing services department - attending monthly meetings and completing weekly compliance checks including the management and updating of department risk assessments

Responsible for elderly, vulnerable people across the borough - reporting safeguarding issues to relevant parties i.e. Adult Social Care and EEBC Safeguarding team.


Provide technical administration support to Transport from Home service, Community Alarm and Meals at Home + shopping and Hospital to Home support services.

To complete driver/technician and staff rotas in the absence of the Assistant Manager

Working under instruction, provide a good all round technical administration service that supports with the delivery of the corporate plan, vision, behaviours, corporate identity and key messages and promote effective corporate working across the organisation

Participate in learning provided to perform the role successfully and to the standards expected. Take an active interest in developing skills to develop sound administrative support

Meet designated technical administrative tasks within specified timeframes as set out in the agreed work schedule.

Deliver targets in line with the relevant standard operating procedures and contribute to My Performance Conversations

Maintain and refresh established systems and processes by keeping abreast of and responding to current and future service needs and assist with the review of relevant business processes to ensure standard administrative systems and service related procedures continue to be fit for purpose

Be responsible for dealing with allocated service requests from members of the public, external organisations and other services.

Provide a seamless and high quality service to ensure that routine customer enquiries are dealt with efficiently and more specialist support is sought from colleagues where appropriate


Qualifications and Training
Good numeracy and literacy skills, with exams in English and Mathematics.


Knowledge and Experience
Customer services experience

Supervising a small team

Social media & content management including webpage updates across all services

Staff rostering oversight


Skills
Problem solving

Ability to deliver quality work under pressure and an excellent track record of on time & budget execution & delivery of multidiscipline projects within resources

Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Office suite in the work environment

Caring or training skills

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive business information with discretion

Communication skills - written and oral

Working under pressure and to deadlines


Additional Requirements
Team player & people person

Ability to work with minimum supervision.

Understanding of health and safety concerns in a public environment.

Planning and organisation skills.
