Are you a cause driven events administrator or officer? Would you like to work with a human rights organisation?


We are proud to be partnering with an Internationally recognised human rights and campaigning organisation to find their next Activist Events Assistant.

This role is temporary and initially for 3 months with a view to extending or working on another project offering flexible hybrid working.


The Education and Activist Events Assistant is a pivotal role, providing administrative and project support to staff in the Human Rights Education and Community Organising Units.

Working closely with colleagues across CORE (Community Organising, Human Rights Education and Events), this role ensures we have excellent administrative systems and processes that support our aim of enabling more people across the UK to achieve human rights change.


The diversity of the role includes:

establishing, developing and maintaining systems; managing, monitoring and evaluating data; communicating with a variety of audiences and keeping sources of information up to date.


The big picture

  • Lead the development and implementation of administrative processes to support the effective operation of the Human Rights Education and Community Organising teams
  • Manage the collection, storage and reporting of data on a range of databases and platforms
  • Contribute to the organisation and running of events and meetings both internally and externally
  • Support the creation, distribution and promotion of human rights education resources
  • Contribute to internal and external communications, including being the key point of contact for enquiries
  • Offer support and training on data management for staff and volunteers in both teams
  • Contribute to the development, delivery and evaluation of the HRE strategy

The day to day

  • Process expenses and contribute to budgetary processes
  • Support both teams to use the crossorganisational database to effectively manage data, communicate with contacts and measure impact
  • Build and maintain online data collection forms in compliance with Data Protection policies
  • Assist on administration for a range of education and activist events and contribute to the monitoring, evaluation and learning processes for those events as needed
