London, hybrid working

You will be given the opportunity to define the scope of your career, leadingand growing a team of managers and analysts, whilst setting the strategic direction of the data platforms function by working collaboratively with different data teams and C-Suite levels to drive change across the company (all brands included).

The Role

As the Data Platforms technical architect, you will provide technical direction and leadership across the AWS platform, providing the overall roadmap, as well as working with different scrum teams to aid the design, development, and maintenance of the platform.

You will remain hands on, producing points to test approaches, leading through your technical expertise.

You will:

Own the overall technical architecture of the AWS data platform, being SME in the AWS cloud space.
Deliver an automation first, performant information system that acts as an enabler for machine learning and AI and, in turn, delivers data science products to commercial and operational teams.
Provide a technical roadmap within the AWS world, ensuring the correct topics and stories have been written, leading PoCs and working with internal design teams to determine what the infrastructure looks like.

Key Skills & Requirements

Expertise with AWS cloud data platforms skills, across data engineering and DevOps
Experience coding with Python/Scala, able to run code reviews and rewrite code
Cloud platform expertise in a high volume data environment
