Development Strategy Manager on a full time,

South East London. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of
up to £53,000 per annum.
About the Development Strategy Manager Role:
As our
Development Strategy Manager, you will work with the Head of Development Strategy and Reporting to manage an annual programme of work to inform the development strategy to including analysis of successful delivery within the programme.
What we're looking for in our Development Strategy Manager:
- Demonstrable track record of delivering Development Strategy in a Registered Provider or similar organisation
- Strong knowledge of the policy, funding and delivery/planning frameworks applicable to housing development and regeneration by a regulated housing association
- Strong knowledge of the construction, property and/or housing sectors, having worked in those sectors at senior level
- Strong commercial acumen and excellent analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities as our Development Strategy Manager:
- Providing briefings to the Development SLT regarding innovation in the RP and Development Sector
- Writing, in consultation with all Directors, and in collaboration with the Sales Strategy and Intelligence team, the annual Development Strategy for the Development Department
- Contributing to the strategy and vision of the department, keeping abreast of government policy, undertaking an annual programme of research (in partnership with the Sales Strategy and Intelligence team) and developing and implementing new products that will help us to deliver our strategy and vision
- Effectively and proactively liaisoning with Peabody Policy team NHF, HE, GLA and G15 with regards to government policy consultations and regulatory changes affecting development
- Reviewing innovations in development funding across the sector with particular emphasis on institutional investment and flexible use of Homes England and GLA investment funds
- Ensuring Development teams are supported in the production of development appraisals for new and existing projects, specifically with regards policy initiatives and specific local requirements
- Advising and proposing solutions on future requirements of government funding programmes (for example: modern methods of construction, environmental sustainability and quality standards) and innovation in other RP development programmes (e.g. deals with institutional investors)
- Providing executive briefings to support internal and external engagement
- Producing monthly economic (GDP) and development (BCIS/planning) updates for the department, including sales market data from the Sales team, to ensure the department is aware of overall development market trends. Use these to provide a bi-annual update to the Development Committee
- Delivering ad hoc business improvement and change projects within the department to ensure ways of working evolve according to sector best practice, regulatory and compliance requirements
