DevOps Engineer - Cloud infrastructure (Mid and Senior positions)
£45,000 -75, % bonus
Canary Wharf, London, 1 day a month in the office, work from home remote
A "super start up" backed by 12 global major Oil, Banks and Trading Houses are looking for a Cloud infrastructure DevOps engineer
They're disrupting the commodities markets through building a post-trade commodities platform underpinned by Blockchain technology. The platform is already widely used and will digitise the global commodities trading industry.
They're an extremely well backed startup with offices in London and Lisbon.

They are looking for multiple DevOps Engineers to join their Cloud Infrastructure Engineering team which is responsible for the provision of cloud, infrastructure and platform services to underpin the smooth running of their platform.


Key Skills and experience required:

Required:

  • 2+ years of experience working in a DevOps role
  • Experience working with Cloud provides such as AWS, Azure or GCP
  • Experience in InfrastructureasCode tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef or Puppet
  • Experience with Docker containers (development, networking, deployment)
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog
  • Experience with ELK stack
  • Elasticseach and Kibana
  • Experience in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Circle CI or Travis CI
  • Experience in scripting languages such as python, shell, groovy
  • Understanding of the development and release cycles
  • Experience of working in an Agile mode, knowledge of associated tools and approaches

Desired:

  • Experience working with AWS (our de facto Cloud provider)
  • Knowledge of GitOps tools such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD
  • Knowledge of Blockchain/ Ethereum and smart contracts implementation through Solidity
  • Understanding of highperformance computing, virtualisation, grid computing, distributed computing or similar
  • Financial services or Commodities background
