Business Development Manager - Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing demolition tender opportunities within the Utilities & Energy, Pharmaceutical, Petrochemical, Heavy Industrial and Asset Recovery sectors
  • Undertake full lifecycle management of the procurement process itself, from expressions of interest right the way through to contract award
  • Management, completion and submission of prequalification questionnaires
  • Identifying opportunities on which to submit bids and ensuring accurate information made available for (bid go/ no go) decision meetings
  • Project managing the bid process from arranging site visits and issuing clarifications through to contract award to ensure internal and client deadlines are consistently met
  • Work collaboratively with other functions to coordinate inputs to create coherent value adding bids delivered on time
  • Identifying and reworking existing prewritten content where relevant
  • Assist in preparing presentations for directors to support postsubmission interviews
  • Developing an effective bid library of information and liaising with other departments to keep up to date
  • Constructively use lessons learnt for continual improvement in the bidding process
  • Provide monthly KPI reports to senior management detailing the current bids, tender timetable and pipeline
  • Ensuring industry memberships and accreditations are maintained and kept up to date
  • Design, prepare and write content for case studies and all other company marketing literature
  • Management of external agencies for design, SEO/PPC and PR campaigns
  • Management and development of the company website, related social media sites, SEO and advertising opportunities
  • Monitor websites for new opportunities (e.g. British Nuclear Group, UKAEA, Councils)
  • Research new clients, possible clients, and competitors
