    The Role:

    As a Data Architect/Scientist, you will be responsible for conception, design, and development of data models to fulfil the strategic data needs of the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct data analysis and interpret trends and patterns to provide business benefits.
    • Manage data governance and how this applies to data architecture and how this works in relation to other organizational governance structures.
    • Explore new, more efficient, and effective ways of deriving value from data. Produce data models and understand where to use different types.
    • Maintain documentation, providing training and justifications for designs.
    • Build algorithms or work with vendors to enhance their algorithms to ensure return on investment on smart building technologies.
    • Identify where data resolutions can contribute to resolving the organisation's problems and you can log, analyse, identify, and implement the appropriate solutions.
    • Develop and maintain data models, data systems for Smart Building IoT platform as well as existing building management solutions.
    • Collect, collate, analyse data from applications such as Fault Detection Diagnostics, Indoor Air Quality, People Counting, Occupancy Analytics and smart Building IoT Platform.
    • Create meaningful presentations of data and show tangible outcomes.
    • Translate data into valuable insights that inform decisions. You can effectively involve teams in analytics and synthesis to increase consensus and challenge assumptions.
    • Optimise and document the technical aspects of various data solutions associated with the Smart Buildings/IoT/OT space.
    • Troubleshoot data model, system problems, resolve root cause, and where possible and hand it off to correct team to fix the bug(s).

    Your Profile:

    Key skills/knowledge/experience:

    • Experience with data pipeline development/application development/programming languages e.g., Java, Python, SQL scripting or SOAP/REST.
    • Excellent understanding of APIs and integrations.
    • Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques.
    • Hands-on experience with SQL, NoSQL and data warehouse design.
    • Great numerical and analytical skills.
    • Good understanding of Metadata management.
    • Good understanding of building ontologies.
    • Knowledge of data integration concepts and patterns.
    • Understanding of object-oriented languages and paradigms e.g. OOAD, design patterns.
    • Excellent understanding of application architecture.
    • Excellent Knowledge of Corporate Workplace Technology space.
    • Strong understanding of version control systems e.g.GIT.
    • Understanding of the DevOps processes and practice.

    You Will Work With:

    • Analysts and Business Users to convert specifications into technical designs.
    • The data engineer to build prototypes and taking them to production.
    • The Solution Architect, Systems Analyst and Business Analyst to define pipelines and data systems.
    • Work collaboratively with the Security Architecture/Design teams apply appropriate controls for data integrations and pipelines Champion data architecture both internally and through collaborating.
    • Collaborate with Risk Management to ensure necessary controls to Vendor or in house-built data solutions.
    • Collaborate closely with internal and external key stakeholders and SMEs to define best practices and standards/guidelines on data modelling and analysis techniques and development processes.
