Focused Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join our clients food manufacturing site in the local area.
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday 8:00am - 16:00pm
Overview:
Produce product in a purpose built unit in accordance with required work instructions, policies, procedures and in line with the Company's Health & Safety policies and procedures.
Motivate and give direction to your team, maintaining and developingquality-based production whilst monitoring individual, team and machine performance.Responsibilities:
Liaise with the Shift Co-ordinator/Planner/Production Manager to ensure that the required production operational targets are met in line with the Production Plan, Work Instructions, Quality Requirements, Hygiene Standards and Safety
Requirements:
- Ensure that production tasks within own area are complete in line with process method statements identified on all Process Instructions. Ensure that all relevant documentation has been signed off where applicable and retained for future reference when required
- Collate daily and weekly KPI data. Ensure that departments run smoothly and efficiently at all times. Attend meetings as and when required.
- Maintain stocks of materials and consumables and their appropriate storage as required, along with their costeffective usage whilst meeting production deadlines. Undertake operational duties as required to meet deadlines and/or cover for staff absences,filling gaps in resources within own area.
- Deploy staff effectively and ensure they are performing to agreed standards, reallocating and rescheduling tasks whenever needed to achieve deadlines.
return to work interviews and forms. Ensure all operatives are fully aware of and understand the principles of Critical Control Points. Allocate work to, and oversee the work of, own section.
- Ensure compliance with all Quality and Technical procedures. Any other duties as required by Shift Coordinator/Production Manager.
- Health & Safety Maintain a high standard of housekeeping at all times ensuring cleanasyougo' principles are followed. Ensure adherence to Company and industry food safety regulation requirements in regards to hygiene, including personal hygiene.
- Ensure adherence to all mandatory and Company Health & Safety policies and procedures, understanding that you have a responsibility for Health & Safety within own department. Always wear appropriate PPE when required and in line with COSH.
