    Description

    Job title: Senior Software Engineer (Python, C/C++)

    Company: MCS Group Job description : MCS Group is proud to be partnering with one of Northern Ireland's most innovative technology companies for a brand new role within their organisation, as their Senior Software Engineer. In this role, you will be driving architectural decisions, and developing their technology platforms and systems, that will enable them to maintain their market-leading position at the forefront of their field.

    The role

    • Driving architectural decisions and strategic input
    • Support and mentor junior engineers
    • No red tape Be able to work independently and take ownership of your role
    • Liaise with stakeholders to define requirements
    • Support and drive a range of projects to completion to achieve their goals
    • Ensuring their products are robust and quality-tested to the highest standard

    Needed to succeed

    • Experienced and knowledgeable coding in Python/C++
    • Adaptable in a fast-paced environment
    • Familiar with cloud technologies e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP
    • Experience in leading a team/ or a desire to do so
    • Degree in an IT-related field

    Beneficial to have

    • Experience in data handling and SQL databases
    • Frontend knowledge (Javascript)
    • Experience with real-time systems
