We have 2 positions open for an
Electrical Bias Shift Maintenance Team Leader and
Mechanical bias Shift Maintenance Team Leader to join us on a permanent basis in the Maintenance Department.


You will be responsible for the daily supervision and co-ordination of a 4-man maintenance team to achieve required goals, targets and output.

You will allocate proactive and reactive maintenance tasks on the manufacturing site are completed to allow continuity of production operations.


The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to

  • Develop and review the Maintenance plans using a variety of techniques and 'tools' to include PPM, RCM, TPM, Vibration Analysis, Thermal Imagery, Acoustic monitoring, oil sample analysis and FMECA.
  • Coordinate and facilitate mechanical and electrical planned maintenance tasks in line with current schedules.
  • Plan and organise follow up work derived from planned maintenance checks.
  • Coordinate any followon activities between shifts leaving clear instructions.
  • Assist with the development of training plans for Maintenance Department.
  • Continuous improvement of departmental processes, to include 5S and Lean.
  • Collation and reporting of departmental KPIs (daily and weekly).
  • Attend to electrical and mechanical and plant breakdowns.
  • Identify spare part requirements.
  • Carry out minor project work e.g. building rewiring, new equipment installations, process and asset movements, machine upgrades, CCTV installations, energy management etc.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to assets, plant and buildings in order to achieve gains in safety, quality, productivity and reductions in cost.
  • To ensure their own health, safety and welfare and the safety of all other persons who may be affected by their activities.
  • Liaise with Contractors, Suppliers, site supervision, Engineers and Maintenance Engineering Manager.
  • Manage Statutory inspection programmes e.g. pressure vessels.
  • Aware of the company requirements for the protection of the environment in their workplace and any areas that may be affected by their activities, to follow company procedures and participate in making environmental improvements.

Maintenance Team Leader Specification

  • Right to live and work in the UK, with ability to obtain SC level clearance (5 years British residency), if required
  • Time served apprenticeship or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical discipline
  • Experience within Electrical Maintenance or Mechanical Maintenance, essential
  • Demonstrate leadership and mentoring of an engineering team, essential
  • Proven working knowledge in maintenance plan execution
  • Demonstrate experience within an automated process environment
  • Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Understanding of basic machinery safety desirable
  • Knowledge of abrasive wheel regulations advantageous
  • CompEx Certified (electrical), desirable
  • Proficient in MS Office
