Purpose of the Role


As a security officer you will be working as part of a team with other security officers to provide a presence of safety to members of the public and tenants to a busy shopping centre in Birmingham City centre.


Key Responsibilities


This role of Part time security officer will be providing security, monitoring, and maintaining health & safety to the centre working within a team of security officers.

External patrolling and liaising with the shop tenants and ensuring a presence to thepublic, also performing daily Health & safety checks in and around the centre and reporting to the facilities manager and soft services supervisor.

Monitoring public space via CCTV in a control room SIA CCTV licence required, if not in possession of a validCCTV licence then training will be given if the applicant is successful after a 3-month probationary period.


Skills, Knowledge and Experience

ESSENTIAL:

  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised and take responsibility.
  • Experience in securitybased roles.
  • Valid Door supervisor or static security license
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure.

DESIRABLE:

  • Valid CCTV licence
  • Flexibility for overtime if available.

  • Full uniform provided.
  • This is a permanent role.

Working Hours
56 per week, Permanent days - 4 on 2 off
